- SUMMARY -

From cultivation to tea processing, all the work is done at one tea plantation, completely pesticide-free cultivation. Tea leaves that can only be produced by one person at one place are extracted and bottled with the best technology using local water.

Please enjoy a cup that expresses the charm of handmade tea produced by traditional tea farmers and the unique “terroir” of the land, just like wine.

It is ideal for tablescapes on special occasions, or as a souvenir or gift for your loved ones.

- TASTE -

<BENI: Black Tea>

Amber to brown tones. The aroma of mandarin orange, biwa, apricot, and other fruits that give the tea a Japanese character, along with dried tomato, laurel (dried), licorice (dried), autumn ginkgo leaves, and mushroom accents.

In the mouth, the same flavors as in the aroma spread over the palate along with good acidity.

The astringency is well balanced and gives a calm impression that can be enjoyed slowly until the finish.

We used soft water from a spring near the tea plantation, and repeated trial production to achieve the best balance between the individuality of the tea and the Japanese flavor and astringency.

The multilayered flavor provides customers with a new Japanese tea experience, a “Japanese” black tea experience.

It is a cup with a variety of characters that can be enjoyed in a very wide range of ways. Soups, stews, cured ham, charcuterie (at a temperature of about 14 to 16 degrees Celsius), dishes with (and served with) potatoes, sauces with tomatoes, fried foods, dishes with cream, dishes with spices, deep flavors such as autumn ingredients and slightly sweet miso, the flavor of mugwort, millet It can be used with a variety of dishes, such as autumn ingredients, deep-flavored foods such as slightly sweet miso, mugwort, and millet.

<Green: Green tea>

A brilliant yellow-green color. It has a floral aroma of camellia, sweet aroma of Kamishinko, cherry leaves, green grass, and accents of dokudami, straw, and bay leaf.

In the mouth, it has a gentle flavor of kombu dashi (kelp stock), a sweet taste like mochi (rice cake), and a rich flavor like brown sugar with a long aftertaste, while astringency gives complexity and a sharp finish.

The concentrated aroma and flavor are combined with the freshness of green tea leaves.

The tea leaves used for “Midori” are based on the concept of wilted sencha, which is naturally produced in the satoyama and in the traditional tea farmers' activities. From the planting of seedlings to the processing of tea leaves, everything is done in a single tea garden, and the tea is grown completely without the use of agricultural chemicals. Tea leaves grown at high altitude and the difference in temperature are stored in a cool and dark place after plucking and wilted.

In an era when efficient transportation and large machinery were not available and tea leaves could not be immediately made after harvest, it was not uncommon for tea leaves to be spread out in a cool place and stored overnight. Therefore, it is assumed that the wilting was not done intentionally to enhance the aroma, but rather the individuality of the tea leaves and the degree of wilting varied depending on the production environment and conditions, resulting in the individuality of the producer and his/her cup of tea.

We focus on extracting and bottling such “handmade” and “single origin” teas with maximum appeal, and Green offers a Japanese tea experience of “individuality” that is more than just shades of deliciousness.

<Blue: Oolong Tea>

Transparent amber color. It has a fruity aroma like mango, apricot, strawberry, white flowers, honey, persimmon leaf, and licorice.

On the palate, there is a green leaf aroma characteristic of Japanese tea leaves, a seaweed-like flavor, and a touch of astringency. There is also a touch of blueberry in the aftertaste.

The very multilayered aroma, like that of Chinese tea, is layered with the characteristics of Japanese tea leaves, and you will enjoy a cup with a character that is sensually different from any other conventional tea.

It goes well with fruit sauces, spiced dishes, dishes with the flavor of miso or soy sauce, grilled dishes with a burnt aroma, and Japanese sweets with fruit.
